Educational Technology Certification Program
Immediately upon completing my student teaching program and getting my first teaching position in New Orleans, I started the Educational Technology Certification program. I took these classes entirely online (I didn't feel like the commute from Louisiana to Michigan every week was practical). As this program clearly states, it was here that I learned how to integrate technology into my everyday classroom practice. It was this program that inspired me to create an entire online experience for one of my classes. And it was my experience in this program that made me want to complete the Masters in Educational Technology

Cold War AdventureA Choose Your Own Adventure PowerPoint
By clicking on the image to the left you will be able to download a PowerPoint I created during my student teaching year as a Stand Alone Instructional Resource (StAIR). This activity was part of a day dealing with the Cold War on the Home Front. The students went from station to station completing activities that included this activity along with Soviet Espionage, the fear of nuclear war, and the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC).

The Nerd Power BlogA place for reflection and contemplation.
The Blog found by clicking on the link below has been developed over time as I grow professionally within the educational community. It was first started during my educational technology certification classes the summer after I earned my teaching license. It has taken many forms, from my first blog on edublogs.org (not much to look at) to its current version as NerdPower.info.
