-- the Michigan State MATC Website I have always wanted to be a teacher. I cannot remember a time when being one was not at the top of my list of chosen professions. I completed my student teaching several years ago, but never stopped taking classes to better my practice as a professional educator. Attaining this degree is just one step among many to make my life about children and their academic well-being.

Master of Arts in Educational Technology
The Master of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) prepares teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals for the thoughtful use of technologies to support teaching and learning in a range of educational environments. The program draws on current theories of learning and development to understand the role of technology in learning and instruction.
-- the Michigan State MAET Website In the debate over what to get my masters in, technology was always high on the list. I have always described myself as a "nerd" with a strong "geek" streak. The Ed Tech Masters is the application of my personal nerdiness with my professional nerditity.
